Jai (Saif) and Meera (Deepika) are having an open relationship. They do everything that a normal couple does, but dont want to admit their love to each other. They think its not something that happens to the current generation. Veer Singh (Rishi Kapoor) befriends Jai and narrates his love life to him which has an uncanny resemblance to his life right now. He firmly disapproves of how Jai and other youngsters of today treat their love life. The movie reflects a lot about how love used to happen yesterday and how different it is from today. Jai doesn't want to acknowledge that love exists and feels its not something that is a part of today's generation and Meera wants to forget Jai and lead her own life. Its only when Meera finally settles down with someone she thinks she loves, do both of them realise that their lives are going in the wrong direction and they really do like each other. A very typical Bollywood 'guy-meets-girl fall in love' type movie. It all depends on how the producer can re-use this story in a different manner, which the movie has done in a way. It incorporates a good comparison between the love and life of people of yesterday and today. Saif needs to change his look and style, looks to cliched on him, and he needs to accept the fact that hes getting old. He cant pass off as unmarried youth anymore.
